Soapcakes is a cottage industry based in the heart of Essex and run by mother and daughter team, Bridget and Rachel Lovell.

These hand made soaps and potions begin life in the home kitchen, filling the house with the aroma of fresh citrus notes one day and the soft heavenly scent of rose petals the next. Using many locally grown flowers and herbs - some from our own garden- and pure essential oils, Soapcakes ensures a fine quality product and supports the local trading community.

The soap is poured into the insulated mould and to matures in the airy workshops next door to the kitchen. Once fully set, the moulds are released and the soapcakes hand cut into pieces ready for the market or mail order.

The Soapcakes recipies have been created by a qualifed and experienced homeopath who responded to her patients need for an alternative to standard soaps. They are ideal for those with skin sensitive to synthetic and chemical compounds as they are made with 100% natural ingredients.
